Team

Velibor Zeli

Meteorologist
MSc. in Meteorology
University of Novi Sad

Velibor is the team weather expert. He knows a lot about the physical and chemical processes governing the dynamics of the atmosphere. Velibor is currently a PhD. student at the Fluid Dynamics department at KTH. His research is in understanding and developing models to forecast the turbulent structures in the atmospheric boundary layer. In his time off, Velibor is a dedicated glider pilot.

Mihai Chiru

CTO and Co-Founder
MSc. Distributed Systems
Royal Institute of Technology

Mihai is a Senior Data Scientist and software engineer with several years of experience as a consultant in the heat and power industry. Mihai has a strong drive to build smart systems that help transform data into real-world decisions. Mihai is a former practitioner of competitive programming and has participated in several national competitions in Romainia.

Henrik Kälvegren

Front-end developer
BSc. Computer Science
Royal Institute of Technology

Henrik thrives in creating products that are accessible and intuitive for to the end-customer. He knows the importance of building a user experience that takes advantage of the full potential of the delivered service. Henrik is currently on hold from his MSc. in Computer Science studies at KTH to be a part of Greenlytics' development team.


Amanda Guiñez Lindén

Interface designer & PR
MSc. Media Technology

Amanda was part of the first visualization team working on WindMind together with Engineers Without Borders.  Her role has foremost been working with front-end development, visualization and design. Amanda is also has experience from working with PR and communication at Engineers Without Borders.

Sebastian Haglund El Gaidi

CEO and Co-Founder

Sebastian has working experience from power trading in a large utility company. His is passionate about contributing to fight climate change and is a strong believer that the use of adequate algorithms has the potential of radically speeding up the transition to a sustainable energy system.

Ilias Dimoulkas

Senior Data Scientist
MSc. Energy Production and Management
National Technical University of Athens

Ilias is currently pursuing his PhD in the department of Electric Power and Energy Systems at KTH. His research work involves optimization and forecasting techniques in the power systems. He and his team obtained a second position in the wind power forecasting competition organized by the International Conference on the European Energy Market.

Mario Romero Vega

Associate Professor in Visualization
Royal Institute of Technology

Mario is an Associate Professor in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphics, and Visualization at the School of Computer Science and Communication at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He obtained his PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009. Mario is also the technical co-founder of several successful startups.

Mohammad Reza Hesamzadeh

Associate Professor in Power markets
Royal Institute of Technology

Mohammad received his Docent from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and his PhD from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. He is currently a faculty member at KTH. His Special fields of interests include Electricity market modeling, analysis, and design and mathematical modelling and computing. Mohammad is a member of International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) and a Member of Cigre, Sweden Section.
